A day in the air ambulance service

- Fantastic to hear about the collaboration in the service!

The air ambulance service's user council was shown and informed about all the resources in the service during their visit to Tromsø on 9 September.

The Air Ambulance Service HF's user council is still quite new and has been operational for a couple of years.

This year, they combined their physical meeting with visits to both the fixed-wing aircraft, helicopter, and rescue helicopter base in Tromsø.

In Tromsø, all the resources of the service are gathered: ambulance helicopters and rescue helicopters, as well as both types of air ambulances. The user council was able to see and sit in all the vehicles except for the jet, which was out on a mission.

- It has been an absolutely fantastic day, says the chair of the user council, Åse Senning.

- It has been particularly nice to hear about the collaboration we have in the service, as the various resources work together for the patient. Everything from the technicians who ensure the planes are operational, to the interaction between helicopters, planes, and ambulances, says Åse Senning.
